I would like to vote yes to John Cena vs. Randy Orton @ Bragging Rights in an Iron Man Match. I great iron man match that when you look back at it in 5 years will still stand up among the best Iron Man of all time.
I would also like to vote yes to Christian vs Yoshi Tatsu. One of the best ECW matches of the year. Christian is inching closer to being a candidate for Wrestler of the Year IMO.

I would like to nominate Masato Tanaka Vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi from the G1 Climax on 8/15/09. This was a very fun match with some awesome near falls.

Just some number break downs so far:
198 Matches Have been nominated in total
133 Matches are eligible to be voted onto the ballot thus far
53 Matches have received enough votes to be put on the ballot for the end of the year
So it looks like our filter is working here. Only about 26% of the matches nominated have actually made the ballot. There are some 'exposure' issues with the Japanese, Lucha and some of the smaller indy stuff, but for the most part, I think the WWE stuff has been weeded through really well.
16 Promotions have had matches nominated
We had something like 11 last year. Wrestleview is watching a lot more varied types of wrestling.
Of the top 34 matches (all the matches in the top two tiers), 16 were on pay per view, the other 16 were on television. Needless to say, its been a really, really strong year for quality television wrestling.
106 of the matches nominated were from the WWE. That's around 55%. To say there isn't other wrestling that's good out there, is at this point pretty silly as half of this list is non-WWE.
However, 43 of the 53 matches on the final ballot are from the WWE. Is this because the WWE is that good or because the other promotions don't get as much exposure? Is this a problem?
Also, what would make you watch more wrestling from other promotions? More time? Would it have to be more interesting? Etc.
Just some cool stuff to throw around and think about.

Whilst I can't speak for everyone, for me, the problem I have with Japanese and Mexican wrestling is the very stark stylistic differences in the way matches tend to be laid out and executed.
A lot of the Japanese stuff I've watched has gone completely over my head, yet I know tons of people around here go bananas for it. The no selling stuff is what I have the most major issue with. Used sparingly it works but every match I've seen seems to have it and I feel uneasy with seeing guys kill themselves for 30 + minutes whilst kicking out of finishers about 5 times to boot.
There is some Japanese stuff that I've loved though. Like the Champions Carnival final from last year I think it was and the Morishima/Misawa GHC Championship match. They weren't as exhausting to watch as a lot of the other Japanese matches I watched from last year's ballot.
Also I remember not getting that CMLL Mask vs Mask match AT ALL. Unreal crowd but I didn't get the hype surrounding the actual quality of the match itself. So I think, for me at least, going years on end without seeing even one match from Japan or Mexico can really make it difficult to get into once you're so accustomed to North American wrestling.

What would make me watch more wrestling from other promos is if we actually got it in australia, although if that happened youd probably have me nominating a whole heap of czw stuff lol and im not even joking

For me , nothing will make me watch other promotions (tried CZW once...Jeez that was so bad) Don't know why actually but it clearly doesn't interest me. WWE is my first love & TNA is like that ex girlfriend that was only here to make you forget about the deception suffered by your first love. At first , you thought you were falling in love again but soon enough you saw that she would never replace your first love. So you come back to see your 1st love & sometime when you're bored , you go to see that ex and you get sick upon seeing her...
Okay so after saying that stupid crap , i just wanna say that basically i like my wrestling schedule like it is now with the monthly WWE PPV & that's all.

If I could, I'd like to nominate Christian vs. William Regal for the ECW Championship in England. Hopefully the feud itself is over now, since it's just been dragging on for ages. But that match was Phenominal and is defiantly one of the best matches Regal has had it ages.

Nominating: Desmond Wolfe vs Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles vs Samoa Joe vs. Daniels for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Turning Point on November 15, 2009. If these two matches or at least one doesn't get on the ballad or close to the MOTY, then this entire list if a complete joke.

I'm gonna give this a HELL NO. They had way better encounters this year and this match up suffered greatly because of the ref, Scott Armstrong. There was no flow to the match and the suspense really was not there.

Second To: Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle, TNA Turning Point 11/15
I'm not nearly as high on this as others were, but its definately worth having on the list, if for nothing more than the fact that TNA hasn't done that much that's entertaining this year.
This is basically your proto-typical Angle v. youngster match, just executed better because Nigel fits better with Angle's formula. Angle's youngster matches are largely built around them escaping and countering Angle's signature stuff, which was great when he was a heel, but now that he's a face/heel/face or whatever he is, it seems a bit inappropriate. But yeah, Nigel makes it work finding all sorts of really cool ways to dodge, counter and then plaster Angle with something cool. Angle bumps like a nut here, but hats off to him, he never gets too goofy with it.
The problem with this match is that Nigel doesn't really do anything that Matt Morgan, Samoa Joe, Sting or anyone else that's faced Angle hasn't done. Angle's blown his signature spots apart so much at this point, that they run together. Angle letting people escape ankle locks and angle slams on throw-away matches on iMPACT haven't helped things. Thus what could have been really f-ing good, was really dulled because Kurt doesn't seem to be able to work much more than one match. They don't spam nearfalls here and build to them well, so tip of the cap to that, thus making it not a stereotypical Angle match, but still, it gets me that Angle's signature stuff is pretty meaningless these days. They do the token Angle gets a flash pin/submission out of nowhere, which really puts Angle over as being smarter, which I don't know what that does for a youngster other than really just show they can keep with Kurt on the mat.
So worth a nomination, but not exactly top 20 material, IMO. I expect this sucker to be pretty devicive, perhaps moreso than Angle/Jarrett from earlier this year.
ODB, Taylor Wilde & Sarita vs.The Beautiful People
Just a for fun nomination. Really this is the Madison Rayne bump show and everyone else is along for the ride. She's great taking pancake bumps from ODB, getting confused by Sarita and Taylor double team spots, and when she's not flat-backing, she's dancing and tagging herself out because she's too hot. Seriously, she's slid into Velvet's old role in this group pretty well and has improved a TON in the past two months.
Velvet is transitioning into Angelina's role as worker of the group a lot slower, but this match showed signs of her finally coming around. She has a great fall away slam cut off and really has cut down on the audible selling and screaming so Madison can do it instead. Lacey is pretty awful, but they're figuring out how to use her a lot more effectively in the last few weeks. She's got an AWESOME lariat, and so long as they plant her in the middle of the ring and let her blast people, matches don't fall apart with her in it. Taylor and Sarita are fun as the running hornet's nest of double teams, even though that's not my thing, it worked here. ODB owned the finishing stretch, fighting all the heels off like she was in a dive bar. All she needed was a pool cue. Her move set sucks, but woman can throw a mean punch. A really fun match and a pleasant surprise.

Oh my , did Survivor Series rocked or what?
Nominating
Batista vs Rey Mysterio : Totally reminded me of the Rey/Big Show match from 03 with Rey dominating early with his speed but making that one mistake that allows the monster to beat the living s*** of him.
Team Kofi vs Team Orton : Hard to explain why but this match totally pumped me. Hell , for the 1st time , i marked for Kingston !
Undertaker vs Chris Jericho vs Big Show : Well worked 3 way match. Jericho's remark to the fan (Go back to Toronto...I'm from Winnipeg idiot!) made my night honestly.
John Cena vs Triple H vs Shawn Michaels : Second this match because honestly it rocked. Between Shawn's heelish moves , the tension between both that let you think "Is it really the break up of DX?" & Cena's work , this match was great. The mark inside me just wanted Shawn to win the belt but other than that great match.

Okay so my Uni workload and Modern Warfare 2 have pretty much dragged me away from pro-wrestling for the last couple of months. So here's a few 'better late than never' noms / seconds:
Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle - TNA Turning Point
Christopher Daniels vs. Aj Styles vs. Samoa Joe, TNA World Heavyweight Championship - TNA Turning Point
In regards to the latter, even I like me some MOVEZ~! from time to time. Time to catch up on the last five or so WWE pay-per-views. Oh and Turning Point was top-to-bottom the most consistently good TNA pay-per-view I've seen in a long while (well ever really, seeing as I missed their peak years).

Another question: do I need multiple partitions, or would it be fine to make the drive bootable with its own boot loader and then put the different OSes in separate folders rather than partitions? Is this even possible?
Would appreciate any of your feedback on this.

With all the Indy/TNA wrestlers signing on with WWE, it got me to thinking, where is Low-Ki/Senshi?
Last time I heard, he was wrestling dark matches before SmackDown under the name of Kaval, and even had an ok match with Tyson Kidd down in FCW. Anyhoo, what's happened to the guy, and what is Wrestleview's thought's on him, do you think he could do well on the main-roster?
Personally, I'd like to see him on ECW.

One final Match of the year! candidate would be Bats vs. Rey #1 Contender's Match for the WHC from SD! 12/18/2009. It was better then the other matches they've had this year.

Scott Steiner vs. Bobby Lashley, Last Man Standing, TNA Final Resolution 12/20
Can't believe I'm nominating this, but I thought it was a lot of fun. No one in wrestling does more with less these days than Scott Steiner. No one. Sure, he's lost about 20 steps and looks like he's made out of leather, but that doesn't stop him from lacing 'em up and showing up ready to work for every pay per view. He's gotten so much grief from the net nerds that it's almost like he doesn't care and just goes out and has fun, and in the process, produces great results. The clubbering antics are great here, jaw jacking with the crowd, the use of weapons and cheap shots to gain advantages and some really well-built-to high spots. Lashley's pretty great with the move selection, bringing some nasty suplexes (especially the top rope exploder) and some pretty good looking punches. The stretch run is pretty fun despite the fact that it was botched by Lashley dropping the pipe, but heck, they made it work. Sure, this has some execution issues and Lashley could have been a bit better portraying intensity, so this certainly has some rather obvious flaws, but a match that's a lot of fun and one of the better TNA pay per view offerings of the year.
