With all this talk about ricky ponting losing his captaincy after another ashes defeat i got to thinking, now why should he do that. He didnt do anything wrong, the selectors didnt do anything wrong, im still glad we chose clark over hauritz, the only reason we lost is because of the weather. we were on fire in our first innings until it rained right at 0/70 or whatever, then it rained and we got bowled out for 160, enough time for the pitch to recover and provide a good batting surface for england to bat us out of the game, although imo, i thought we were still a chance, 5 hundred and whatever is not ungettable, but thats not the point, it wasnt pontings fault and he should most definitely not lose his captaincy.

No I don't think Ricky should lose the captaincy either.

Australia's batting line-up needs looked at. I'd prefer Katich to come in at No. 5 with Clarke at No. 4.

I'd have Hussey open with Watson or Hughes, Hussey can't be too far way from getting dropped, a couple of decent innings every now and again can't last.

I'd always play a spinner, even though the 4 prong done the job at the 4th test.
