I, for one, do not like the direction this company is headed. Giving Hulk Hogan a free rein on the creative direction of TNA harkens the dark days of WCW. And we all know how that went!
Plus, the fact that Dixie Carter chose to air that footage of the talent meeting she had on this past weeks TNA programming makes me weary about her decision on how the wrestling company's direction is headed. I question whether Dixie Carter is the right person to run TNA.
Your thoughts?

I dont fear for the Hulkamania run on TNA.
For one the name's he's pushing for TNA to sign, seem to me that he knows what hes doing. Jeff Hardy, DDP, Kennedy, and RVD to speak of some of them.
Look at the names Hogan got for his Hulkamania tour. He did the right choices considering the available market.
Don't fear for guys like the Nasty Boys coming into TNA simply for them being on the tour, Hogan knows their past their days, and the difference from touring on a "farewell" tour, and being part of a company.
Hogan and Bischoff have worked for a while after the closure of WCW, and they have done a great job. Look at the Hogan celebrity wrestling, it wasnt beautiful, but it was an ok show to watch. Eric and Hogan have already said they know where they failed in WCW and they wont repeat the same errors.
The Hogan name alone, is a huge boost for the ratings, and I still believe the rating wasnt high enough because the only thing they showed of him was the press conference wich was already given on the internet 2 or 3 days before. It took the surprise factor out of it.
Hogan will act more of a booker, and I believe he will do a good job at it. He will only have an ocasional match here and there. At most, I only point at a title run, more of a farewell title run, and a way to associate his name with the belt to give more prestige to it.
One advice, search for Hogan's matches in Japan. He COULD WRESTLE. Something they never pushed him to do in the USA the propper way.
Hogan is an oportunist sure, but also someone who knows the business. Believe it or not, the politics are very important in the business. You may have the tools, but if you dont have the desire to climb the wall, you wont do well. If hogan pushes for it, it might be a good thing. It will only force the workers to stand out more from the rest of the crew, both in terms of their acting, as well as what they will have to do more to get a push, instead of simply receiving one for the sake of it.
I any cases, Hogan is not working for a promotion without supervision. Jarrett was the founder and he gave problems, look where he is right now. Chris Harris, left the company when they needed him the most, and he keeps visiting backstage, and look at where he is right now. Rikishi came in to the company, missed some shows, and look where he is right now. Rhaka Khan gave the company problems, and Angle with false statements, where is her today? Carter is the boss, and also the major boss daughter, she aint no kid, she's a business person. There will come the time, where if Hogan and Eric do any shit, they will have to go, and Carter will have no problem in doing so.
People have been fearing for TNA since day 1. Since the begginig, it wouldnt last 2 years. Angle came, and it would end up in 1 year. 8 years have past and TNA is growing. Biggest promotion in the UK, widely seen on tv channels across the world, UK, India, China, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, France, Germany etc. There are TNA toys on portugal stores and big supermarkets, and TNA is only shown here on a paid channel.
TNA started as a weekly ppv, they moved to a 1 hour slot on a small tv channel on cable, in a bad time slot, they went to be aired weekly via internet only, they went from there to Spike, to getting only 1 hour, from 1 hour to 2 hours. From nothing to 1.3, 1.5, etc. Smackdown only draws 1.8-1.9, yet TNA has been getting numbers not so far away from them, and even bigger than Superstars and ECW. They've grown.
Its guys like Hogan, Foley, Sting, Angle, that like them or not, bring in attention from fans, and from midia, and helps boost ratings, as well as the popularity of the virtually unknown rookies, like Joe, Aj, Daniels, that only die hard fans know.
So dont fear much for Hogan to come.

So dont fear much for Hogan to come. TNA isn't the 'biggest' promotion in the UK... TNA is broadcasted 'for free' contrary to the WWE. I think they will remain a marginal promotion for some years till they pull the plug. Which would be a shame because the WWE really needs some competition.
