is out in america for ps2 and bought it today.

Seems like a really cool game, had the one for snes on emulator and enjoyed it. This one has a ton of wrestlers, but I can't get the grappling system down, idk if its different or what. Anyone pick this up yet?

ok check this out....if you dont get this game you are doing a dishonor to wrestling. I know economic times is hard but this gamer is only like 15 bucks and it is one of the most complete wrestling game on the market....ever.

Not only do you get like 300 something wrestlers already....but you get 500 more create a wrestler slots. All the Japanese Legends are in there like Inoki to Rikidozan to Tiger Mask. But there are also American Legends like Dynamite Kid, Lou Thesz, and Bruiser Brody. And any wrestler(notice I didnt limit this to only Legends) who is not in the game can easily and accuratley but created.

Of course, and you already know this if you ever played a Fire Pro game before, the game is almost completley 2D and none of the wrestlers use their real names(though they can be edited with the editor). But if you really enjoy wrestling....I implore you to get this game.

If they release a DS version of firepro, i'll snap it up in an instant. I'm done with PS2, though.

to be honest fire pro and smackdown vs. raw 06 are the only reasons I still have a PS2. Just like NO Mercy is the only reason I still have a N64

Part of me would love a DS version of this but then I'd have to remake the insane number of wrestlers I've made in this game. Then again I said that when this game came out and I had to remake all of the wrestlers in my GBA and SNES versions.

I've actually taken a break from FPR because I spent so much time filling in those WWE and American guys as well as many of the missing luchadors. My current goal is to make every recognized NWA world heavyweight champion ever. I still need to figure out movesets for Billy Watson, Dick Hutton, Edouard Carpentier, Pat O'Connor, Gene Kiniski, and Tommy Rich. I love that this game allows me to be this much of a dork.
