Lately ive been going to a lot of concerts and i got to thinking "which one did i enjoy the most?"
What is the best concert yous have seen or anything you will never forget from a concert?
Ill start of with my list: Paul stanley-If any of you dont know, hes from kiss. It was my first concert and for a solo artist he was really great.
Iron Maiden-For a bunch of old guys they were absolutely amazing and they havent lost anything.
KISS-Wow i cant belive i saw kiss? Anyway i literally nearly cried when they came on it was just a great moment and they had the best stage show ive ever seen.
Parkway drive (december 2008)-Incase some of you might know they are a metal band from Australia starting to get big and this was a great show.
Bullet for my valentine-Musically the best show ive been to. They slowed down the breakdowns which is big in Australia as we like our parkway drive and suicide silence a lot. And i will never forget the solo in "Eye of the storm" where they stopped the backing riff and all you could here was the awesome sweep picking.
Trivium-My favourite concert, they played most of my favourite songs like down from the sky and Rain but my personal favourite song ive ever seen live is when they played "when all light dies" It just got me so pumped up and il never forget that breakdown.
Parkway dive (Agust2009)-Good show again but basicall the same set list but they took out two of my favourite songs. Anyways enough of my blabbing lets here some of yours.

Best concerts I've been to:
The Living End The Killers Guns 'N Roses
I've also seen Fall Out Boy, Evermore, End Of Fashion and After The Fall. All of which were decent-to-good. In December, I'll be seeing Green Day. If I get the chance, I'd love to see Rise Against, Iron Maiden and Metallica.

I've only been to three so far but they were all well worth the price of admission. I've seen Jason Mraz, Rage Against the Machine and Buddy Guy. Buddy Guy was almost like a religious experience for me. Great performer, great music and I saw him with some great friends. I might go see him again in a month or so. The guy's just awesome.

How did Rage Against The Machine's music translate live?
Outside of their self-titled album, I can't think of too many tracks that would entice me to see them in concert. That said, their first album kicked copious amounts of butt so that alone would be worth seeing.

^^Actually it sounded pretty good. The crowd really wasn't as crazy as I expected. That and the fact that Zack came out and said, "Hello, Chicago!" (the concert was in East Troy, Wisconsin at Alpine Valley) killed it a bit but it was fun. They pretty much played all the songs that I hoped for. If you ever get the chance to see them, it's definitely worth it.

System Of a Down - They played all my favorite songs (expept Ego Brain) and man they were ON. Also, The Mars Volta was opening for them and if I wasn't such a fanboy of SOAD I'd say that TMV stole the show. They were playing material from the France the Mute album. I got to see 2 of my favorite bands in one night

They honestly were amazing and it was the best band ive seen till last week, Megadeth are now the best band ive ever seen, ive seen them play bad on a dvd so i didnt think theyd be that good but it was just ridiculous how good they were, check out this setlist: 1.Set The World Afire 2.Wake Up Dead 3.Hangar 18 4.Skin O' My Teeth 5.She-Wolf 6.In My Darkest Hour 7.Devil's Island 8.Tornado of Souls 9.Headcrusher 10.Rattlehead 11.Symphony Of Destruction 12.Peace Sells Encore: 13.Holy Wars... The Punishment Due / Mechanix For the encore they played half of holly wars, then a shortened version of mechanix, and then the rest of holy wars, it was just all my thrash metal dreams come true in 10 minutes, slayer played after them byut were really disappointing, kerry guitar was like twice as loud as jeff and they played three songs off their new album that hasnt evn come out yet, not that they werent good but i would have rather seen like seasons in the abyss, or postmortem or sumthen like that, they were ok but

Even the bad performance(Assuing it's Rude Awakening you're talking about) it's still a damn good concert. I thoroughly enjoyed That One Night more(which is the best concert dvd I have, until Metallica: Live In Nimes) but Rude Awakening is still great. The seventeen minute She-Wolf, great.

That is the one thing that makes me believe James Hetfield is a better frontman. His voice is much better than Dave's, even at it's shittiest. But then again, Blackmail The Universe on That One Night was ten kinds of awesomeness. As for the stage presence thing, that could have something to do with the fact that that was supposed to be the night that Dave was going to disband Megadeth, instead he announced the opposite, deciding to continue their musical world domination.

Arcade Fire at the Greek Theater in Berkeley. They were seriously amazing live and the entire crowd singing along during "Wake Up" was one of my favorite live music experiences ever. I've seen a lot of great bands but they were probably the best.

I used to prefer james voice but his voice in death magnetic started to annoy me, i guess the bad sound quality doesnt really help, but im a big fan of daves vocals, but as a frontman as whole, id say about even, but if james was still like he was 20 years ago like when they did live shit binge and purge he would be leagues better then anyone in the world

In the past week i went to see acdc and went to soundwave festival: ACDC: They were pretty good but i never really got into them, not a great fan of their music, plus we were a good 80 or 90 metres away it was impossible to see, other then that they actually put on a really good show and kept the whole crowd into it the whole way, the only thing was that half the crowd was pissed off cause they didnt play its a long way to the top but thats because they dont play it anymore out of respect to bon scott which is fair enough, i dont go that much on the song anyway so i wasnt complaing, but i loved it when they played for those about to rock, its the one acdc song i absolutely love. SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL: This is an annual thing in australia and this year there was three bands i saw the whole way through and they were, IT DIES TODAY: i had never heard of them before but these guys were awesome, they drew a huge crowd considering theyre not that known and they were the first band on stage 4, it was awesome cause we were right up the front for it and the singer kept jumping out into the crowd, the crowd for them was crazy to, it was ridiculous. ANTHRAX: The only band in the big 4 i never got into until now, they were just so ridiculously good and we were right up the front for them aswell, it was awesome, the best songs they played were caught in a mosh and indians, they are now the second best band i have ever seen behind megadeth and they had the biggest crowd all day on stage four besides a day to remember but that was HUGE, adtr are really starting to grow a big fanbase in australia but im not a fan, i like a couple of their songs but their nothing special. TRIVIUM: second time ive seen these guys and they truly are a spectical to watch live, they have great setlist everytime, i got a cameraman to jump on the stage with my phone and take a photo of the setlist which is awesome, but by the end of trivium i was just completely screwed, sat down and watched escape the fate who were ok, they had a wall of death in their last song while i was sitting down the back and as soon as i heard him say lets split this thing down the middle i knew what was coming and sprinted down there and just missed it, then left after that, i was gonna see enter shikari and HIM after that but i dont like them that much and the only enter shikari song ki like is sorry yout not a winner so i just split and waited for my friends. if yas wanna see photos heres a link to my myspace, feel free to add me: www.myspace.com/boydy23should work

My first concert was the Parliament/Funkedelic concert back in the late 70's. They did a great job performing on stage. I really enjoyed myself listening to them live on stage. They're an excellent band and I still listen to their music to this day.
Prince- This guy is another great performer.
RUN-DMC- My favorite rap artists. A great group of guys who did an awesome job on the stage.
MCHammer- Went to this concert with my best friend. We both had a good time enjoying his show. At that time, MCHammer always put on a spectacular show. His flashy outfits and those amazing dancing moves just drove the crowd crazy.

I wasn't sure if I should be admitting this, but I did go to see this dude back in 91 or 92, and yeah, it was a pretty good show. Only knew the one song, but I didn't have to pay for the tickets so it was worth it!

In no order:
Explosions in the Sky March 08 They played with a guy named Lichens, I think, but they were pretty much a solo act that night. They played on my birthday which was awesome and they just performed one hell of an emotional set. Some of the best musicians in the world.
The Locust and Dillinger Escape Plan 04 This was so long ago, but all I remember is fast music and fun live crowd.
Paramore with Say Anything 07 Really fun stuff. I'm a Paramore fan because they're a tremendously fun band. I can't deny their catchy songs and they were great that night. Really, really fun stuff.
The Blood Brothers with Chinese Stars and The Mean Reds 05 I used to be a huge BB fan and they were so great that night. They were definitely one of my favorite bands at that time and were just solid all night.
MxPx, The Movie Life, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory 02 My first show ever. I was a big MxPx and NFG fan. I had a lot of fun. I can't lie, even if I'm not into any of those bands anymore.
Every Time I Die and Underoath 07 I'm not an Underoath fan, but ETID tore it up. My favorite live band at the time.
Avenged Sevenfold and My Chemical Romance 04 I was a big A7X fan during Waking the Fallen when they were just breaking out. In retrospect, I hate A7X now. My music tastes have grown, and I just don't see anything interesting in them anymore, BUT this was maybe the craziest show I've been too because I had to get stitches during A7X's set. I had my head crushed into a barricade by a crowd surfer and I was bleeding all over the place so security literally pulled me out and I was taken to the hospital to get stitches. It was a crazy night for sure, but it is now a memory.
That's about all I can think of. I know I'm leaving a bunch of stuff off, but I've been to probably over 500 shows (mostly local shit).

I went to soundwave in Sydney and saw It Dies Today, Anthrax and Trivium. It was one of the most amazing/hottest days of my life.

I've been to some other decent shows. KMFDM always makes a stop in Charlotte. Rise Against and Anberlin surprise me also.
Last good show I probably went to though was way back in '98. Spartanburg, SC @ Ground Zero for 4-band bill.
Spineshank, hed (pe), System of a Down, Fear Factory. Spineshank, hed (pe), and SOAD were all promoting their debut CDs. FF promoting 'Obsolete'.
SOAD clearly stole the show for me. Serj, unfortunately, has laryngitis and could not sing. Instead of bailing or winging it, the band would invite crowd members onto the stage and sing their songs! My then-girlfriend ended up getting pulled onto the stage to sing 'Sugar'! Massive amounts of awesome! Laminated the signed ticket stub from Serj immediately following!

I saw Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder a few weeks ago. Amazing concert, and before the show we dropped into this metal shop in Sydney to get our poster signed by Unearth, was awesome, the best song they played was Zombie Autopilot and the best song that Black Dahlia Murder played was Black Valor. Both bands put on a great show. In a couple weeks i am going to see the Amity Affliction in Sydney, should be good. Also coming up this year, i have Parkway Drive and Bullet For My Valentine in september and Metallica in November, plus whatever else comes up.

^^ Yeah i never really got into them but they were so amazing live. I checked all their stuff out and i thought it was actually pretty good. Their Guitarist Buzz (I think his name is), is awesome, in the last song he was kicking over all the mic stands and whenever someone would pick it up he would kick it back down again. Also, the singers from both bands really pissed the security guards off and saying to crowd surf, make them actually do something, it was classic.
